Modular fire door

Between February and June of 2006, our project team of five students designed a modular industrial fire door for Hoefnagels. This was done during id4155 Project Advanced Products, a master course.

The assignment was to make a modular door that could be constructed on site in various sizes by a crew of two in just of one day. We managed to fulfill those requirements, and built a full-scale prototype to prove it.

The design is still under development at Hoefnagels, so I can't really go into detail about the design solutions we found.

Our grade for this project was a 7.5.
